    The ship was docked at Cape Liberty cruise terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey, by sunrise. 
    The dining room was open for breakfast from 6:30 to 8. While eating breakfast there was a light rain shower.  We walked a few circuits around Deck 11 with a view of the New York City skyline under an overcast sky.  The temperature was around 13°C. The ship was docked at the same pier as when we boarded the ship two weeks ago.  The view of Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty was clearer.
    We waited in the Celebrity Theater for the call to leave the ship. We collected the luggage in the terminal, where everyone’s luggage was grouped by number. Next was the line for Customs and Border Protection which took about 40 minutes, then we went to the waiting bus to go to Newark Airport for our flight to Toronto. Audrey & David were on the same bus. It was just a 20 minute drive to Newark Airport. When we checked in at 10:30 a.m., we were offered standby seats for an earlier flight and took it.  Later we got a notification from Air Canada that our original flight to Toronto was delayed 30 minutes.  It gave us an extra 80 minutes at Toronto airport, and our last flight was also delayed so we had over four hours at Toronto airport. There was a short line for airport security. We were waiting at the Newark Airport gate less than two hours after we had left the ship.  The plane left on time and arrived in Toronto five minutes early.  We did not need to collect our luggage, which was tagged to our final destination.  The Canada Customs line was short in Toronto.  Our flight from Newark only held 76 passengers and there was not a large plane arriving ahead of us. We were through Customs and made our way to security again, relatively fast, and were checking the departure board within 45 minutes of landing. We saw that our next plane was delayed 30 minutes.  After a bit of walking, we stopped at the restaurant Twist for a light dinner.  Finally arrived home after 9 p.m.

   In two days, we travel east to Newfoundland for a 12 day bus tour and then on September 7 th  fly to Newark, New Jersey to embark on a two week Canada New England cruise.  The flights will be a shorter travel day flying through Toronto from St. John’s, Newfoundland.  From arrival at St. John’s airport to arrival at Newark airport should take about 8 hours.   New Jersey time is the same as Toronto time.

    Another cool morning of about 10°C as the ship docked at Sydney, Nova Scotia. On the pier, just beside the ship, is the iconic 20 meter Big Fiddle of the Ceilidh, officially named  Fidheal Mhor A’ Ceilidh . After breakfast we hurried to the Visitor Center to update the blog and post pictures, before a lot of people arrived and slowed down the complimentary Wi-Fi.  The pictures were loaded at a pace of nine per minute. While we were loading photos, a couple from the Seabourn ship that was cruising from London, England to New York, noticed Larry’s San Diego Padres hoodie. They were from San Diego. During the conversation they offered to send us some information about what to see and where to stay, the next time we visited San Diego (next spring).       Yesterday was the last of the warm days.  The next four days are predicted to have high temperatures of 11 °C to 14 °C and a chance of some rain each day.  The morning brought an overcast sky and a temperature of 8°C in  La Baie one of the three major settlements of the  Saguenay combination which includes Chicoutimi, Jonquière along with four smaller towns and their surrounding service areas. Early this morning before sunrise the ship entered the 91 kilometer long Saguenay Fjord having travelled about 200 kilometers downstream from Québec City. La Baie is located on the shores of Ha! Ha! Bay. The name comes from the sight of the bay by settlers who were awe struck by its natural beauty (Aaw! Aaw!, as in Wow!)  The  Saguenay  region’s main industries are aluminium manufacturing and logging.  Natural areas abound, from the Parc National du Fjord-du-Saguenay to the east, featuring  1,150-foot-high...
