There is a weather system heading for Bermuda which could affect the northeastern United States when we start the cruise on September 9 to go north from Cape Liberty, New Jersey (which is a few kilometers south of New York City). The predictions have Hurricane Florencehitting Bermuda about Tuesday, September 11.
Weather conditions might cause the hurricane to divert to the American east coast between the Carolinas and Massachusetts perhaps on Wednesday (Sept 12) or Thursday (Sept 13).  If cooler air flows to the northeast, the ocean off the American east coast could be rough on the weekend September 7 to 9.  That could cause large waves from Maine and as far north as Nova Scotia & New Brunswick to the Caribbean islands.
Accuweather stated “There is the potential that cruise lines may have to alter their itinerary and freighters may have to delay or alter their routes.
